032c READYTOWEAR
The Selfie Sweater is a 032c phenomenon: a staple across the community and a viral emblem of belonging. For Curated Editions, it becomes a shared canvas. Selected artists and knitters reinterpret the piece within their own practice – each resulting in a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece.
Diane Gaignoux approaches the iconic 032c Selfie Sweater through a sensitive and poetic textile process, treating the garment as an object and receptacle for the emotional and physical dimensions of the body. Central to this interpretation are color and surface. Dyes have been hand-painted onto the knitted material before washing, then layered with sprayed pigment and fixed to the surface. Gradual color transitions blur contours, creating a material narrative that maps memory, emotion, and intimate metamorphosis.

Diane Gaignoux was born in Le Havre in 1993. She studied fashion and design at the École Duperré in Paris and later completed a BA in Fashion Design with Knitwear at Central Saint Martins in London. Her practice explores the garment-object through sculptural, filmic, performative, and scenographic forms. Rooted in a sensitive and poetic approach to textiles, her work considers clothing as a space that is both porous and enclosed—a membrane where memories, bodies, and dreams circulate.
